Day 6 middle of the day was a SCORCHER! So brutally hot, it wiped a lot of us. I knew it’d be hard and I’d originally planned to make it to Mesopotamia on the night of day 5 but I just wasn’t feeling that motivated to keep pushing through the night. Those roads on the Canterbury plains are pretty boring!
Day 6 morning @tourtewaipounamu - the struggle is real folks! I’m a bit tired but feeling pretty good overall. Loving it! If I wasn’t doing so much instagramming I’d be at least 5 hours ahead 🤪
Afternoon on day 5 @tourtewaipounamu - it was starting to feel too easy so I timed my arrival to the roadend by Lake Coleridge with some epic headwinds 🥳 And I finally found some friends 🐑 🐑 I wish I was as speedy as them on these gravel roads!!
Some pics from day 4 evening and day 5 morning of @tourtewaipounamu
